Shining Force Feather (シャイニング・フォース フェザー) is a turn-basedtactical role-playing game developed by Flight-Plan and published by Sega. It's the 20th mothership title of the Shining series (not counting remakes) and was released in Japan on February 19, 2009. Produced by Yoichi Shimosato and featuring character designs by Noizi Ito and movie cutscenes made by famous animation studio Gonzo, it was the first Shining Force game to be released on the Nintendo DS. It is also one of the few recent games using the Shining name to return to the series' tactical roots, whereas many of the others after Shining Force III were either action-RPGs or standard turn-based JRPGs.
According to the official player's guide for the game, a Wii version was planned but ultimately scrapped in favor of the DS version.

Gameplay[edit]
Shining Force Feather features a turn-based strategic battle system with an overhead perspective. Once an enemy is selected for attack, the game switches to a side perspective. This phase takes place in real time, as the player presses buttons to activate various attacks. In addition to solo attacks, the battle system will allow players to team up their forces for combination attacks. Rather than being grid based, like many earlier Shining titles, the player is granted with much more liberty as to where to place a unit within a circular range shown during each turn.
Plot[edit]
3,000 Years ago, a war between the Shining Force warriors and enemy forces known as the Kyomu plunged the world into chaos. That war is remembered primarily in items known as artifacts, which were sealed away after the war. 3,000 years later, a young Treasure Hunter named Jin and his friend Bail discover a hidden ruin where a lost artifact is found and accidentally awaken an android girl named Alfin. A new adventure in search for lost artifacts has just begun.

Shining Force Feather takes the Shining Force Series to a new level,with more action than ever before.If you have played Shining Force I,II or III,you will understand what i mean when i say that the gameplay has changed completely.As a JRPG,It has fundamental RPG elements,like equipment,new tecniques to learn,and aan intuitive tactical battle system.What really changed,however,is that you no longer have to watch your character attack;instead of watching,you can control the attacker movements and special tecniques,and make up a lot of combos.Every character in the game is beautifully designed,Somenthing that remembers the Fire Emblem,and the attacks are just as hot-blooded as the Super Robot Wars Series.If you like long,hard battles,then you will like this game,since it´s all about the tactics you use,and not about the level of the characters.If you´re a fan of the Shining Force Series,you may get a little irritated about the new battle system,but i assure you,this game is simply one of the most creative DS JRPGs Ever.
